My name is Lexi Combs and I am here to share all of my wedding DIY successes and failures so that you can skip straight to saving money on your wedding part! When I started to plan my wedding I could not believe how outrageous the costs were, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from having everything I pinned to my "Dream Wedding" Pinterest board! So I got creative and figured out how I could make similar items for MUCH LESS!
The wedding industry has much higher markups than other industries because they know we're willing to pay. Try looking at venue's prices for events that aren't weddings...you'll be SHOCKED to learn in most cases its much lower and includes all of the same things! Now let's talk about what I saved!
My estimated DIY savings came to almost $5,000! I did all of my own flowers, place cards, favors, centerpieces, table numbers, cake, bridal party gifts and so much more! Not only was this cost effective but it really made the day that much more special knowing that all my hard work was finally coming to life!
